Performing Arts Center

Tomorrow's stars are right here at Texas State. Theatre, music and dance students are perfecting their crafts while entertaining the community, and they'll soon have a beautiful new venue where they can showcase their talent. The Performing Arts Center will showcase our students, attract other talented students and faculty, increase community support and enable us to bring national and international productions to campus.

Alumni

The collective power of involvement from 138,000-plus alumni and friends is tremendous. The Alumni Pillar encourages all alumni and friends of Texas State to reconnect with the campus and support the university as a whole - or by joining a special interest or affinity group. Athletics

In fall 2012, the Texas State Bobcats will take the biggest step in their history - a move to the Western Athletic Conference. Bobcat student-athletes will perform on a national stage, a status they deserve. This move to the WAC presents exciting opportunities, but it also presents challenges.

Library

The 21st century academic library is a place where knowledge grows, collective learning happens, and individual growth is fostered and encouraged. To remain the intellectual center of campus, the Alkek Library must support the academic community in several new ways.

Pride in Action

Pride in Action - is more than just the name of Texas State’s capital campaign — it is a reflection of our educational history. This university’s pride goes all the way back to the late 19th century, when the idea of a first-class institution of higher education was taking shape in San Marcos. This pride continues today with a student body of more than 34,000, faculty and staff who devote their careers to excellence, and in the thousands of alumni and friends throughout the world whose support makes a difference in the lives of our students. Building on this pride is a campaign that identifies five current needs of the university and invites your supportive participation. Through the Pride in Action campaign, Texas State is focusing on the following pillars of need: Academic Excellence, Performing Arts, Alumni, Athletics, and the Library.
