Miguel Pescador


With 24 years of experience in city government, Miguel Pescador has spent 20 of these years in supervisory, management and administration capacity with the City of San Antonio and City of Laredo.

He started his career as a staff accountant with the City of Laredo in 1993 before moving to accounting and management analyst positions with the City of San Antonio in 1995. In 1997, he re-joined the City of Laredo as bridge system superintendent before becoming Parks and Recreation assistant director and director in 2006. Currently, he is the purchasing agent for the city.

Pescador serves the Laredo community on the Laredo Chamber of Commerce as a board member and has previously served the Citizens Advisory Committee, Cola Blanca Committee, Laredo Toastmasters and Laredo Leadership, also serving as a Laredo Scholars/Texas Scholars presenter. From 2003 to 2016, he served as chairman of the chamber’s education committee and was the 2010-2011 Laredo Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year.

A 1993 graduate of Texas State University, Pescador received a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. He is married to Diana Pescador and has two sons, Miguel Angel and Gabriel Alessandro.
