Lance Spruiell serves as a senior vice president and the San Marcos market president for Texas Regional Bank. He previously held the position of senior vice president at Pioneer Bank, where he served for more than nine years.
With more than 16 years of combined experience in sales, management and banking, he began his career in Marble Falls, managing Sportsman's Country Complete Outfitters. Through this experience he began to understand the importance of developing long-term business relationships. He transitioned from Sportsman's Country into the banking business in early 2005 with Security State Bank & Trust, where he worked as a loan officer in both the Kingsland and Spicewood branches.
Spruiell has served on the board of directors for CASA of Highland Lakes and was an active member of local Rotary groups and builder associations. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, the Hays County Friends of the Family Justice Center Board, and Texas State University’s McCoy College of Business Advisory Board.
Spruiell has worked in San Marcos since early 2012 and moved his family here in 2014. He is an alumnus of Texas State, where he graduated in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry.
