At Pfizer Inc. since 1989, Bil Simmons has advanced to positions of increased challenges and responsibilities in support of sales and business development.
He began his career as a district hospital consultant, working exclusively with physicians and staff at the Oklahoma City Veterans Administration Hospital and the Oklahoma University College of Medicine. Next, as a senior professional healthcare consultant, he successfully developed a call plan with local area teams to enhance coordinated sales efforts for promoting antibiotics, antihypertensive, antifungal and antidepressant products.
Simmons, a Texas State University alumnus, became a senior therapeutic specialty consultant in 1996, working closely with key customers who care for those suffering with psychotic disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and depression. In 2008, he was promoted to master level representative and later, as a senior professional healthcare representative, he promoted a pain portfolio to include Celebrex, Lyrica and Flector Patch.
Since 2013, Simmons has educated key customers on the appropriate use of oncolytic drugs as an oncology account specialist, recommending regimens for lung cancer, breast cancer and chronic myeloid leukemia.
He consistently has exceeded established sales goals and received several formal recognitions over his career. He also served as vice president of the board of directors for the Alzheimer’s Association of South Texas from 2000 to 2004.
