Donor Services is responsible for:

• Gift Acceptance and Processing

All gifts to the University and the related foundations are accepted and processed through our office. All gifts should be accompanied with the donations processing form as per the following policy:

• UA PPS 01.03 Gift Reporting Standards

Gifts-in-kind received by University departments and colleges may be accepted as per the following policy:

• UA PPS 01.02 Gift Acceptance Policies and Procedures
• Recognition and Acknowledgement

All donors are appropriately acknowledged and recognized for their contributions. Tax receipts are issued to each donor reflecting their gifts tax deductible value.

• Corporate Matching Gift Management

All forms and requests submitted by employees and employers involved in matching gift programs are processed through the Donor Services Office. We ensure the integrity of the information provided to the matching entity and ensure all donations are submitted in accordance with the matching entity’s policies and guidelines.

• Endowment Compliance

Donor Services is responsible for the acceptance, management, reporting, amendment and compliance of endowments benefitting Texas State University–San Marcos.
