Giving Societies

Giving Societies Reception

The philanthropic leadership of our donors is essential to Texas State’s continued growth and excellence. Thanks to their generosity, Texas State is able to attract and retain the best and brightest students, support excellence in teaching, elevate our research efforts and provide world-class facilities across our campuses. Our donors not only ensure the future success of the university — they transform lives.

The university is proud to recognize their generosity through select giving societies.

Texas State Heroes

Texas State Heroes have contributed $1 million or more in lifetime giving. Through their extraordinary generosity, our Heroes have stepped forward to help us meet the needs of the state, the nation and the world while also encouraging individuals' dreams and aspirations.

Pillar Society

Pillar Society members represent a profound source of support for Texas State. Their contributions are essential to raising the academic and research profile of the university. The Pillar Society recognizes lifetime giving of $100,000 to $999,999.

Guardian Society

The Guardian Society honors those donors who have named Texas State in their estate plans. Their support represents an investment in the future of Texas State and ensures the availability of funds to sustain the university in years to come.

1899 Society

The 1899 Society funds a special endowment that provides renewable scholarship support to a deserving group of students. The 1899 Scholars are selected based on academic excellence and leadership in the campus community.
