Health by Degrees

The spring issue of Hillviews looks at the College of Health Professions – the people and programs that prepare students for careers in health care, the No. 1 field that is producing jobs in the U.S.  Stories highlight a comprehensive stuttering therapy program held each summer, a look at clinical laboratory science dubbed the “hidden profession,” a simulation exercise that matched the St. David’s NICU Transport Team with students in the Department of Respiratory Care, and an explanation of how health information management has become one of the hottest jobs in health care. Hillviews also includes alumni profiles of Rod Keller, CEO of Segway; Marc Pouhe, an Austin-based actor; and Jesse and Betty Luxton, who are giving back in a big way.
