University Advancement is about “building bridges,” and those bridges span a variety of chasms. They link past to present to future. They link external constituencies with internal constituencies. They link people who want to give with ways of giving effectively. And they link those who want to volunteer with causes they will want to support.

It is about relationships and building on those relationships. Fund-raising is important, but University Advancement is about more than money. It is about people and keeping them involved with their University.
