You have the ability to designate your gift to the area in which you want to support, or you can allow your gift to go to President Trauth to use at her discretion for the best interest for the University, This means your gift can go to support anything from a specific college or department, to scholarships, student travel, research, the library, student activities, athletics, the Alumni or Parents' Association… it all depends on where you choose for your gift to go. You may make gifts to several different designations that add up to $1,000 or more and still be considered a President's Associate as long as those gifts are all within the same fiscal year. The fiscal year for our annual campaign runs from September 1 through August 31 of the following year. Yes. Gifts to anywhere on campus count toward your President's Associates annual giving. Currently, the state provides around 30% of the actual cost of a current Texas State education and tuitions and tuition and fees covers nearly half, thus making private support critical for filling in the remaining gap. Yes, in most cases your gift is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. We strongly recommend you consult with your tax professional for more details on your specific case.
