Victory Star: Past, Present, and Future

The Victory Stars: Past and Present

History of the Victory Star
In December 1936 it was placed on top of the old water tower during the holiday season.
In 1942 a night watchman found it and placed it back on the water tower. He started turning it on whenever the Bobcats won a football game.
When the water tower was replaced the star was moved to the top of Jackson Hall, where it stands today.

Our New Victory Star
It will stand 14 feet tall.
       It will be energy efficient.
It will be lit for both academic and athletic wins.
It will go on top of Jackson Hall — the highest point on campus.
